Activities and things to do
Within easy reach of all the resorts via the excellent road network, Aqualandia in Benidorm is FUN so the kids will love it, which means that parents will too! Assorted shutes / springboards / pools / rapids / waterfalls and black holes (that's right, black holes, but don't worry, 'cos you go in two at a time) will satisfy all members of the wet set. Themed areas planted with trees and shrubs house the Pistas Blandas, the Laguna, Niagara, Splash, the Big Bang... and the Kamikaze. But if they sound a bit too demanding, don't worry, there are gentle options for everyone. Bars, shops, restaurants, showers and lockers etc are all available.
Club de Golf Javea
Situated 60 miles from Alicante on the way to Valencia and sheltered from the wind by Cape San Antonio, this course has a perfect microclimate all year round and is located in a wonderful natural setting surrounded by pinewoods. The course is very attractive with gentle slopes, well maintained greens and wide fairways flanked by pine and orange trees. Prices from around €46. Denia, the main town of the Marina Alta, is situated in the South-East of the Iberian Peninsular. To the North, the coastal area is known as 'Les Marines' and has sandy beaches and to the South, 'Les Rotes' has stony beaches and small cliffs.

Road communications are good, by the national main road N-332 and the motorway A-7. The town is 95 kms from Valencia and Alicante.

Denia is a vibrant old port town with traditional Spanish squares and cobbled streets lined with bars and restaurants full of character. The main attraction of this Spanish town is the magnificent beaches of fine sand stretching as far as the eyes can see to the north of the town. Denia is well-served with beach bars offering food and drink during daylight hours.

According to the geographical references of ancient historians, Denia is the ancient Greek colony called Hemeroskpeion, later called Dianium by the Romans. After the barbarian invasions, Denia reached the zenith of its importance during Arab rule when it became the capital of the Taifa kingdom of Denia, highly developed both culturally and economically.

Naturally, as a seaside town, Denia has always been a fishing port, although there was a time when raisin production and export was important in the town, as was toy manufacture. Nowadays, people make a living from tourism as well as from fishing where you will find fresh fish being unloaded and sorted daily along the port. Ferries sail regularly from Denia to Ibiza, carrying many passengers and goods.

Denia is dominated by the hill top castle, dating back to the Roman times which you are able to drive to or walk and there are other places of interest in the city, including churches, museums, monuments and parks. This Spanish city offers a wide range of cultural activities all year round which you can visit on your villa holiday such as concerts, exhibitions, and the theatre.

If you enjoy water sports on your holiday there is sailing, windsurfing and rowing. Denia also has a Yacht Club and a Marina, diving, tennis, football, golf, basketball, volleyball, chess and darts clubs and clubs for underwater sports. As well as all these activities, you can go rambling or hiking in the Montgo Natural Park which is located in the municipal areas of Denia and Javea or if you just want to relax, take a dip in the Mediterranean to cool off.

Denia is very much a family holiday resort and is a wonderful place to visit on your villa holiday to the Costa Blanca with plenty to do for everyone.

Javea Montgo
Set below the impressive Montgo Mountain dominating the views from miles around. Villas in this area a located on the lower slopes of the mountain and generally have large mature plots providing privacy. The resort centre with a wide range of facilities and the beaches are just a short drive away. Jávea's coastline stretches from the Cova Tallá to the Cala de la Granadella, a distance of over 20kms. This stretch of coast varies from the bright lights and sophisticated bars and restaurants of the Arenal area to the peaceful coves of Granadella and the harbour side fish restaurants of the old port.
Karting Javea/Laguna Ribs
Karting Javea/Laguna Ribs is fun for all the family, a karting track offering different power karts so everyone can race, a pool, a bouncy castle (weather permitting) and a bar/restaurant with occasional live music.

Alan Ashford, 31-Aug-2013

Villa Alvaro exceeded our expectations in every way with special mention going to the pool which was absolutely stunning and much used! The villa itself was spotlessly clean and tidy and all the necessary information for safe, wi fi, air con etc was right at hand and easy to follow. Both the villa owner and Barbara our Villa Plus rep were on hand in case of any problems and the security at the villa was to a very high standard. We have stayed in many villas over the years but this was our first time booking through Villa Plus and it is safe to say that after the excellent service and accommodation we received on this holiday we wont be looking anywhere else to book our future holidays.

Overall, an excellent holiday was had by all and we will almost certainly book through you again. The pool table and the table-tennis table were an excellent addition and hope that these are available in all your villas.

Matt Moss, 24-Jun-2008

We cannot tell you how much we enjoyed our holiday with Villaplus, everything was exactly as described and the Villa was even better than the fantastic Villa Plus webiste made out. Taking a 2 year old daughter on her first holiday abroad is often a concern for parents, options like hiring a car seat, free stairgates & a cot made it so easy, as well as the option to choose a preferred airport for depatrure. Thanks very much indeed, I have no hesitation in recommending you.
