The ground floor terrace has a pool table, a chill out seating area and a wonderful alfresco dining space under the pergola, complete with a BBQ and a table and chairs. From here, 17 steps lead down to the swimming pool below, which has a spacious surrounding sun terrace, and tucked under the ground floor terrace is the table tennis table. Both terraces have stunning views over the resort to the sea - the perfect place to relax at any time of day!

Villa Galicia has 2 entrances. An electric sliding gate opens onto a private parking area for 2 hire cars, which is on the same level as the pool terrace. The gated pedestrian entrance is on the same level as the ground floor.

Living space

The combined lounge and dining area on the ground floor is spacious, bright and airy, with patio doors opening onto the dining terrace overlooking the resort towards the sea. There's a flat screen TV with comfortable seating and a dining table and chairs. The adjoining kitchen is fully equipped with all mod cons, and has the same wonderful scenic views.

From the hall, stairs lead up to the first floor, as well as down to the utility room on the lower level, leading out to the pool terrace.

Bedrooms and bathrooms

All 4 bedrooms are on the first floor. Two of the double bedrooms - 1 with an en suite bathroom - are both sea-facing, each with a small private balcony. A third balcony is accessible from the hall, which has the best view of the resort in the entire villa! Villa Location
Villa Galicia is in a great location, and at 190m above sea level, the coastal views are wonderful too. The villa is 5 minutes' drive from a couple of lovely sandy beaches, shops, restaurants and waterparks. Puerto Colon Marina is also nearby, where whale and dolphin watching boats depart daily. The Gran Sur Commercial Centre and Siam Mall are great for shopping. Plus, there are various sporting activities, including water sports, in the local area, making it a great base for an enjoyable family holiday!

Location features

Local markets and shopping

Costa Adeje has a lively promenade lined with a choice places to shop and there are also a few shops down by the beaches, selling gifts and beachwear. There's a supermarket for daily essentials and BBQ supplies within 5 minutes' drive. For anyone wanting a larger dose of retail therapy, there is a busy local market on a Thursday and Saturday, as well as 2 large shopping centres nearby. Or, venture into neighbouring Los Cristianos, which offers a large choice of shops down its small cobbled streets, or Las Americas, with its chic designer shops.

Bars and restaurants

The villa is only 5 minutes' drive from a choice of places to eat and drink along the resort's attractive promenade, as well as plenty of seafront beach bars. In the neighbouring areas of Las Americas and Los Cristianos you'll find a further choice of dining opportunities if you fancy a change of scenery. Plus, the small fishing village of La Caleta is a short drive away, renowned for its fish restaurants but now offering a variety of good international choices too.

Villa Galicia is ideally located close to the very large sandy beaches of Playa Fanabe and Playa Torviscas, both offering a selection of water sports throughout the year. El Duque Beach is just a little further along the coast, with its very blue waters and a lovely selection of shops and cafes along the promenade.

The ocean-front promenade, Geranium Walk, can be joined almost anywhere along this stretch of coast. Hugging the shoreline, it leads in one direction towards Puerto Colon Marina and on to Los Cristianos, or in the other direction, towards the very chic Playa del Duque and La Caleta.

Family fun

There are 2 waterparks within a short drive - Aqualand and Siam Park. The local bowling alley by the beach in Fanabe is also popular with all ages, plus there are trampolines nearby for younger children. Bikes can easily be hired and there's a choice of water sports down by the beachfronts too.

Places of interest

Puerto Colon Marina is only 5 minutes away by car, and is well worth visiting. Whale and dolphin watching excursions venture out of the marina several times a day. Teide National Park and volcano are around an hour's drive away, and are well worth seeing, being one of the island's most famous attractions.

There are several quaint historical and interesting villages around the island, including the well-known Pirates Village of Masca on the West Coast. Or, take the old winding road over to Garrachico and Icod, stop off at Puero de la Cruz to see the old colonial buildings and Botanical Gardens. La Laguna and Oratava also have wonderful scenery and picturesque town centres to explore. Or why not visit the capital, Santa Cruz, making sure you stop at the promenade of Candelaria to see the statues of the Gaunches and the Black Madonna?

Tenerife has a handful of golf courses located not far from the villa in either direction, including Costa Adeje's own course. There's also a course at nearby Las Americas. All have equipment for hire and offer golf lessons.

Other activities

Tandem paragliding over the mountains down onto the beach is available in the resort. Or, if you prefer to keep your feet on land, there are also several walking trails - guided as well as individual - located all over the island.

Every villa comes with its own manual, complete with details of the best restaurants, taxis, local amenities and activities. And of course, our reps are on hand to make sure you love your holiday more. If you need any advice or tips on the local area, they will be more than happy to help.

Activities and things to do
Golf Las Americas
In the centre of Playa de Las Américas, one of the most famous holiday resorts in the south of the island, Golf Las Américas stands out for its fantastic location in a natural amphitheatre facing the sea with superb ocean views of the island of La Gomera. The designer, John Jacobs, gave priority to the obstacles on this 18 hole, par 72 course, which covers a total of 6,039 metres. The club house is an architectural joy with comfortable balconies offering excellent views of the golf course.

Many of the main beaches in Tenerife offer an array of water sports activities, ranging from paragliding, kite surfing, and Jet Skis.

Teide National Park
The highest peak in Spain standing at 3718 metres, declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco, is an absolute must. Beautiful and grandiose, it will make you feel very small.

The Teide National Park in the centre of the island of Tenerife, shelters the best example of the supra-Mediterranean vegetation level. The Mount Teide National Park offers one of the most spectacular examples of volcanism in the world. This National Park, is the largest and the oldest of the National Parks of the Canary Islands. This natural area is surrounded by the Corona Forestal Nature Park, the largest protected natural area of the Canary Islands.

Part of the route can be done by cable car allows anyone, no matter what their physical condition is, to make the scent. The more adventurous can ascend on foot by the path that leaves from the area on Montana Blanca, next to the road. The cable car service, which runs every day if the weather conditions allow, reaches the area known as the Rambleta. The rest of the ascent, must be made on foot. Access to the peak (along the Telesfero Bravo path) is restricted and you need to apply for a permit to reach the summit whether you are on foot or going by cable car.

Permits can be applied for in person, by post, fax or email to the Administrative Office of the Teide National Park, located in the city of Santa Cruz de Tenerife (permits cannot be granted in the park itself).

If you do not have a permit, you are allowed to go in the direction of the viewpoints for the Fortaleza and the Pico Viejo using other paths that leave from the Rambleta. These offer excellent views.

Costa Adeje Golf
Golf Costa Adeje is surprising because it is superbly adapted to its surroundings. Pepe Gancedo designed an unusual layout respecting the old farm terraces that slope down to the sea framed by the original dry stone walls. With really beautiful views of the ocean, the island of La Gomera and the rugged Adeje Mountains, this unique golf course features 27 holes on wide greens and obstacles such as gorges and lakes. The pleasant and spacious Club House has large terraces and a central courtyard. An unusual feature is the lift which takes you down to the driving range in your buggy.

Parque Las Aguilas
The Jungle Park in Tenerife is a fantastic zoological and botanical park with over 75,000 square metres of jungle, over 500 animals, walking paths with tunnels, suspension bridges, waterfalls, lagoons, and caves, as well as free flight shows featuring exotic birds and birds of prey. Based in the hills above the Los Cristianos area of Tenerife. Free buses are available to take you from the main tourist areas and hotels to the park itself.
