Villa Description
Swimming pool, BBQ area and outside space

The large private swimming pool is purposefully built in an infinity style to make the most of the landscape. There is plenty of space to sunbathe, but if you need a break from the heat, to one side of the terrace is the shaded BBQ, dining and chill out area.

A steep, narrow paved road leads up to the private entrance of Villa Estiasi. The private parking area is gated and 6 steps lead up to the front door.

Living space

The open plan lounge, kitchen and dining area encompass the entire ground floor of the villa. Patio doors by the lounge and dining area open onto the pool terrace, as well as framing the view over the hillside to the village and sea beyond. The well-equipped kitchen divides the lounge and dining area and has all mod cons, with a convenient breakfast bar.

Bedrooms and bathrooms

All 4 bedrooms are on the first floor and each has its own en suite facilities. The 2 hexagonal double bedrooms are at either end of the hall. One has an en suite bathroom, the other an en suite shower room. Each bedroom also has a private balcony from where the scenery can be best enjoyed. Each of the twin bedrooms has an en suite shower room and patio doors onto a larger, shared balcony with the same magnificent view. There is also a shower room with WC on the ground floor.

This villa is registered and licenced by EOT Greek licensing association. This number is: 0830k100k081580.

Activities and things to do
Glass Bottom Boat
Based in the Southern resort of Skala, "Nautilus" is a specially constructed boat of high standards. Due to these high standards there is little movement in the boat, which is absolutely necessary because of the glass bottom. The possibility to watch the seabed, to view the rocky coast or to cruise the Ionian Sea waters at a speed of up to 30 knots, feeling the breeze and the sea very close will ensure a pleasant cruise.
Loggerhead Turtle Sanctuary
There is a protected nesting site at Kefalonia called Kaminia beach. The sea Turtle Protection Society work hard and long to protect the fascinating creatures when they come in to nest on the beach. The females heave and tug themselves across the beach to find a nesting site digging holes and laying small round eggs. An average nest would have 120 eggs and once they are safely covered with warm sand the female returns to the water. Some females will lay as many as four times during the nesting season and the eggs take about two months to hatch. The baby turtles dig their way out at night and head instinctively for the sea. This natural pattern can be disrupted by noise and lights. Sometimes the body clock in the baby turtles goes away and they pop out during the day. If you see a turtle its best not to touch it as its essential to their survival that they make their own way to the sea. The Marine Turtle Project was set up some years ago to observe and record the nesting female turtles on the beaches near to the villages of Skala and Ratzakli on the south-eastern tip of the island. This project has continued to this day and incorporated a conservation programme to promote the protection of the beaches where these creatures lay their eggs. Just outside Katelios you will find a little old schoolhouse which has been transformed and is now the base for The Katelios Group for the Research and Protection of Marine and Terrestrial Life. The group was founded in 1994 and consists mainly of local people with an interest in the long term future of Kefalonia
Mount Ainos National Park
In 1962 Mount Ainos was declared a National Park by the Greek state. The forested area of the range now covers an area of 2826 hectares. The larger part of Mount Ainos is given over exclusively to the unique Kefalonia pine (Abies cephalonica), with its straight trunk, its rich pyramid-shaped foliage and its characteristic pine needles. The species retains its purity on Kefalonia since it is protected by the isolation of the island. The highest mountain on Kefalonia, Ainos, extends like a spinal cord through the southern part of island. It has a total length of 10 km and its highest peak is Mount Soros, at 1628m. Mount Roudi is an extension of this range to the north-west, the highest peak being Yioutari, which rises to 1125m.
Kefalonia Robola Wine
The Robola wine cooperative winery is located at Kefalonia Island, Ionian Islands, and western Greece. More specific at the plateau of the Community of Omala, in an altitude of 700 metres, in the slopes of the gorgeous and green full Ainos Mountain

In Kefalonia the unique wine, Robola, is grown and produced. A harmonious white wine of high quality, it is one of the most well known wines in Greece (Hellas). Its wonderful balanced taste, strong note and unique white colour are just a few of the qualities which have established its reputation world-wide.The cultivation of this particular grape is known to be really hard work on the slopes of Mountain Ainos, where the soil is poor and stony, and vineyards can be found as high as 800 m.

The winery is open from 9am to 8.30 pm and is well worth a visit.
Horse Riding
The nearest riding schools are located near Sami and Lixouri where you can learn to ride, improve your skills or simply enjoy yourself. There are mountain trails and beach riding to swimming with the horses.
