Villa Description
Swimming pool and BBQ area

The private swimming pool sits to the side of the villa, with views over the surrounded olive trees to the open sea below. There's plenty of space to sunbathe, and for those that prefer the comfort of the shade, there is a cover over one side of the terrace, by the BBQ, where you can sit out of the heat. The terrace extends along the back of the villa to a shaded dining area, which has panoramic views of the coast.

Entrance

Off the country lane winding down to the beach, a steep narrow track leads up to the house. Villas Kerasia Bayview, Kerasia Ionion and Kerasia Anatoli sit in a row, and there is space to park your hire cars right in front of the villa, level with the first floor. From here, steps at the side of the house lead down to the entrance, adjacent to the swimming pool.

Please note that the entrance lane to the villa is steep and the car group 1W minivan will not be suitable.

Living space

The bright and airy living space is on the lower level. Large sliding patio doors frame the wonderful view of the bay, and open directly onto the dining and pool terraces. The villa is well furnished, decorated in neutral tones, with comfortable seating, a flat screen TV and a table and chairs. The adjacent kitchen is well-equipped, and even has a smaller breakfast table, ideal for your morning tea or coffee.

Bedrooms and bathrooms

On the pool level is a sea-facing double bedroom with access to the dining terrace, and a separate shower room. The remaining 3 bedrooms are upstairs. The second double bedroom has an en suite bathroom, an attractive bay window overlooking the olive groves, and a private covered balcony with views of the sea. Both of the upper level twin bedrooms have a Juliet-style window, one also has a small private covered balcony. A separate bathroom completes the upper level.

Villa Location
The aptly named Villa Kerasia Bayview is perched above the beautiful pebble beach of Kerasia, with wonderful views over the hillside and open sea. It takes around 10 minutes to walk down to the beach where there is a lovely little taverna right on the seafront. Agios Stefanos Village is 5 minutes' drive away, which has a second small beach and quaint harbour, plus several shops and tavernas overlooking the bay. You can also hire motorboats here and explore the hidden beaches and inlets only accessible by boat!

Location features

Local markets and shopping

Agios Stefanos has 2 mini markets where you can stock up on food and daily essentials. You can also order fresh meat and fish for a family BBQ.

Bars and restaurants

The nearest taverna is 10 minutes' walk down the hill, at Kerasia Beach (though the walk back up is steep so it may be best to drive). Agios Stefanos Village has several attractive Greek tavernas offering a laid-back atmosphere, great food and picturesque views over the harbour, right by the beach.

Beaches

A 10 minute walk down the hill will bring you to Kerasia's lovely pebble bay. The beach is perfect for sunbathing, swimming and snorkelling, and there's a good beachside taverna where you can stop for lunch. Agios Stefanos Village has a small but picturesque beach in the centre too.

Family fun

A horse riding centre, dingy sailing and boat trip facilities are all nearby and there is also a small water park, Hydropolis, approximately 10 miles away, in Acharavi - a great family day out! The bigger water park of Aqualand is situated in the centre of the Island in the village of Agios Giannis, around 18 miles away.

Places of interest

There are plenty of things to see and places to visit in Corfu. The views from both Paleokastritsa and Mount Pantokrator are simply breath-taking. Or, why not explore any of the traditional inland villages and enjoy lunch at one of their quaint little coffee shops? Plus, no trip to Corfu would be complete without visiting Corfu Town. Its lively market, authentic and high street shops, fortress and restaurants make it a great day trip. You can even stay into the evening, enjoying dinner and cocktails at the Liston - the main central building lined with bars and restaurants - as you watch the sun set go down over the marina.

Golf

Corfu's only golf course is approximately 20 miles away in the centre of the Island, in the Ropa Valley, close to the village of Ermones.

Other activities

A great way to see more of the island is to hire a motor boat, which can be done locally, and explore the stunning hidden bays along the North East Coast which are only accessible from the sea. Water sports are also available, or, if you prefer to keep your feet on dry land, there is a horse riding school nearby offering treks through the beautiful countryside.

Remember...

Every villa comes with its own manual, complete with details of the best restaurants, taxis, local amenities and activities. And of course, our reps are on hand to make sure you love your holiday more. If you need any advice or tips on the local area, they will be more than happy to help.

Activities and things to do
Activity
Boat Trips
Easily one of the best, most enchanting and relaxed ways to see Corfu is from the sea. Whether you are happy just to remain local with a pedalo, be adventurous by hiring your own little boat, prefer your boat to be captained and be wined and dined or fancy going for the ferries and heading off to other islands, there is something for everyone. There are various boat trips and excursions on offer all over the island. The main areas to take to the sea are the North East Coast with its stunningly beautiful scenery and myriad of little pebble bays or Paleokastritsa with its dramatic cliffs and deep blue waters. 'Vivi' boat is a well-maintained traditional caique that does boat trips up the North East Coast of Corfu and to Corfu town. Taking no more than 14 passengers it is a lovely day out for the whole family. With or without a meal included it is a relaxed way to see the beautiful coast and some of the beaches only accessible by boat. Leaving at 11am and returning by about 4pm the trips are lovely and personal and the captain is particularly good with children. There are snorkels and masks aboard that the captain shows older children how to use. Paleocastritsa has little boats that take up to 20 people on small tours to the nearby caves. The tours last about an hour and are a lovely way to admire the dramatic scenery and small caves of the West Coast. Calypso glass bottom boat. Leaving from Corfu old port on a regular basis a large glass bottom boat takes big groups to a spot just off the island of Vidos. The round trip takes about an hour and children can see two sea lions and the fish around the island.

Activity
Kassiopi
There is plenty to keep you occupied in and around the village if you can tear yourselves away from the private pool in your very own villa. Right outside your villa there are miles of gorgeous, unspoilt countryside to explore on foot or horseback. But if you fancy seeing more of the island on your holiday, Kassiopi makes a great base. Achavari, the main town in this area is nearby along the picturesque coastal road and worth visiting for its splendid 2 mile crescent of clean sandy beach, with warm shallow water perfect for playing and paddling.
Activity
Waterparks
There are 2 waterparks on the Island: Hydropolis on the outskirts of Acharavi on the north coast, and the larger Aqualand in Ag Ioannis, just outside Corfu Town. Both parks have a good selection of slides, pools and various refreshments available. Aqualand is by far the largest of the waterparks and in fact one of the largest waterparks in Europe with a big selection of rides and activities for all ages (including a very sedate 'lazy river' for older party members!) It has a couple of cafes and snack bars, a small shopping area and plenty of sun loungers and is open from 9am-8pm daily all Summer.

Activity
Corfu Golf Club
Designed by the famous architect Donald Harradine the Corfu course has been praised by many as one of the best kept in Europe and he has blended the natural resources of the lovely Ropa Valley with man made hazards to make the course a good but fair test. It is as enjoyable for the scratch player as it is for the long handicap one. The course is open 7 days a week.

The magnificent greens of Penncross Bent are considered to be the finest in the Mediterranean, the treelined fairways and the sandtraps combined with several lakes and meandering streams, make an attractive picture against a backcloth of high hills. A new modern irrigation system keeps the golf course in excellent condition even through the hot summer months. Over the past 3 years the golf course and clubhouse has undergone a total renovation. Bunkers have been redesigned, deepened, drained and filled with white sand, shipped in from a nearby Greek island.

Suitable for all levels of player with qualified instructors on hand for beginners and equipment rental available. It is also ideally placed for families who perhaps don't all share the same interest in the sport being a mere 10 minute drive from Aqualand, the largest waterpark on the island, 20 minutes out of Corfu town and 10 minutes from the nearest beach at Ermones.

It has a large well-appointed clubhouse and restaurant and is open all year round.
